About the Author

José Luis González Gullón is a history professor at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross and a member of the Historical Institute of St. Josemaría Escrivá. In addition to several articles on contemporary religious history, he has published several books on Opus Dei and clergy. Together with other authors, he edited the Spanish Diccionario de San Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer.


John Coverdale has a doctorate in history from the University of Wisconsin and a doctorate in law from the University of Chicago. He has taught Spanish history at Princeton University and Northwestern University, and law at Seton Hall University School of Law.
