Daniel Gamarra, who died in 2015, was a professor of modern and contemporary philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina, as well as at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. Among other books, he wrote Descartes e Spinoza: sulla verità dell’idea (Descartes and Spinoza: The Truth of Ideas); Nicolás de Cusa y el acto intelectual (Nicholas of Cusa and the Intellectual Act), and Dios, Modernidad, Crisis (God, Modernity, and Crisis).
