IN CONVERSATION WITH GOD

Daily Meditations for Personal Spiritual Growth

Man's highest aspiration is to be able to converse with Jesus - to pray. In Conversation with God helps the reader to pray with piety and with confidence. It is aimed not at the 'specialist' but is for the ordinary person.

Following the thread of the Liturgical season, this series gives many practical hints for deepening in one's relationship with God and those around one, improving one's character in and through daily work and family life. The author has succeeded in not creating a straitjacket; rather the book, rich as it is in quotations from spiritual writers throughout the ages, is a source of open suggestions for daily meditation on every aspect of Christian life. This work is rich and extensive enough to serve as your spiritual reading for a lifetime, as it helps you relate the particulars of the message of Christ to the ordinary circumstances of your day.

What Readers Are Saying About ICWG

Fabulous Meditations!

These meditations are terrific! They are thought-provocative and will make the liturgy even more meaningful. After reading them i find myself making a resolution which usually carries me through the day. The best ever!

~ Allen Murphy, June 16, 2018

Most spiritually fulfilling and comprehensive meditations in publication today

I bought them as a family/confirmation gift for my granddaughters and their parents. I've had my own set for 30 years and take them everywhere I go. I won't be parted from them.

~ Janet K, July 18, 2017

A Help for Mental Prayer

This is my favorite book series to use for daily reading which I often end up taking to mental prayer. The author brings in so many of the writings of St. Josemaria, other spiritual writers, and the church fathers in a way that helps one to follow and truly pray and live out the liturgical year.

~ Lauren, March 18, 2017

Best Meditations

The ICWG series are one of the best daily meditation books I've ever read/had. Every year I read it it seems new...the meditations are deep and lead to better prayer and literally better conversations with God

~ A Girl on fire, March 18, 2017

A Daily Must Read

This series provides an excellent guide for daily prayer and reflections, based on the day's scripture readings. It is a great reference during a visit to the Blessed Sacrament, or some quiet contemplation before or after Mass, or at the end of the day. The digital versions are excellent so that you can keep it with you everywhere you go year-round. These are a worthwhile investment.

In Conversation with God

In Conversations is quite helpful in guiding prayer based on daily scripture readings. It’s also a treasure trove for spiritual reading and faith formation. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to enhance prayer life and grow in Christian life.

~ Robert Marino, December 12, 2018

Don't understand why this isn't required reading for every Catholic?!

I am deepening by spiritual life by becoming more aware of the Word. This requires me not only to read the word but to be able to reflect and meditate on it. This book is a great aid in this meditation assisting me to daily dig deeper into the word in accordance with the liturgical calendar whilst drawing on knowledge from Saints and Doctors of the Church.
