The Venerable Servant of God Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, is one of the most well known religious figures of the past 100 years. Born to farmers in Illinois, Fulton grew serving at mass and living an ordinary life. Ordained in 1919 Fr. Sheen continued his studies and began teaching at Catholic University of America. He taught there for 23 years and during that time he became a well known teacher and orator. Fulton Sheen was later ordained a bishop and it was then that he began his famous TV program which reached 30 million people a week. Archbishop Sheen had a deep devotion to the Eucharist and never missed a Holy Hour. It was before the Blessed Sacrament that the holy Archbishop died and his cause for canonization is underway and many expect him to be blessed in the near future.
