Ángeles y santos (Angels and Saints)

Se tiende a pensar que los ángeles y los santos son seres lejanos, de escayola o impresos en estampas, capaces de realizar milagros con la eficacia de un superhéroe. Quizá, en el caso de los ángeles, podemos suponer que tocan un arpa allí arriba, entre las nubes. Sin embargo, ellos están muy cerca de nosotros.  Scott Hahn deshace leyendas urbanas y tópicos. Jesucristo une el cielo con la tierra: los ángeles rodean a la Iglesia en la tierra, como una gran nube de testigos. Los mártires claman desde el cielo, pidiendo justicia. Sus oraciones suben a Dios, como el incienso, pidiendo por los que aún caminan en la tierra.  El autor nos presenta a sus personajes, desde el siglo I hasta ahora. Seguir su ejemplo supone iniciar en la tierra la vida del cielo.
