What is Time for God about?
Many people today are thirsty for God. They feel a desire for a personal prayer life that is deep and unshakable. But, in a society full of distractions, everyone encounters obstacles that prevent them from forming habits of prayer with perseverance. Fr. Jacques Philippe wrote Time for God with these desires and difficulties in mind.
In this book, Fr. Philippe draws on years of experience as a spiritual guide to illuminate the fundamental principles of mental prayer. He also describes some common mistakes and misconceptions that can lead prayer astray. With simplicity and clarity, he explains the foundational principles for a healthy prayer life and gives the reader advice for overcoming the various obstacles that arise when one sets off on the path of interior prayer.
Known for his simplicity but depth in each of the topics he explores, Fr. Philippe writes Time for God in a way that is accessible for all stages of the Christian journey. With the study guide now built in to every chapter, the habits and ideas on prayer that are put forward can be teased apart to see how they apply to your personal life and relationship with God.
